• Tutoring is often available from your child's teachers. You or your child may contact the individual teacher for times and places for occasional tutoring when it appears that your child needs additional help. Email addresses can be found under the School Staff tab on the HWJH website.
• To qualify for the District Sponsored After School Tutoring program a student must be making a D or F on their progress reports and/or report card. High school students under the direction of a supervising teacher will tutor students in 50 minute sessions. Tutor sessions will usually begin shortly after school starts and ends in April. Tutoring sessions are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 - 5:20 p.m., 5:30 - 6:20 p.m. or 6:30 - 7:20 p.m. Parents choose a day and a time period. After-school tutoring is on a first come-first served basis. If interested, contact you counselor for an applicaton or go to the Parents Section of the Moore Public Schools website and sign up for MPS 4 - 8 tutoring online. • Tutoring is available right after school for students and is available to all students. This program will offer academic support and tutoring in reading and math. There is no cost for the program. Students may get an application from their reading or math teacher or counselor. A permission slip must be completed and returned before a student is allowed to stay for tutoring. The HWJH Title I program is available every Monday thru Thursday from 2:30- 3:30. If your child walks home or is picked up after school, he/she will be expected to leave the school grounds after the program ends.
