This is my 14th year with Moore Public Schools. I enjoy every moment of my teaching career. I enjoy helping my students express themselves with art. I incorporate many mediums in my class: b/w pencil, ink, paint, colored pencil, clay, sculpture, and many others. I look forward to teaching your child this year.
I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2004 with a Bachelor's Degree in Art Education. I was awarded Art Education Student of the Year at UCO in 2004 and was presented with a portfolio for artwork. My overall GPA my Senior year in college was 3.5.
Philosophy of Education:
I believe every child has the chance to succeed in my class. I believe it's my top priority to help my students to be the best they can be. The students will be able to express themselves through the art they create. I like to create a fun environment for my students to be a part of while they are taking my class. I feel art should be expressive and a fun class. By no means is it a "blow off" class. There is work to do and information to learn in an art classroom setting. My classroom is relaxed to create artworks and stern enough with discipline.
