I am blessed to be able to serve the community as Oakridge Elementary principal. I joined the Oakridge family in August 2017, which is also my first year with Moore Public Schools. Aside from my family, teaching and leading are two of my greatest passions. My purpose in schooling is to create atmospheres where positive relationships are fostered, children flourish through creative learning experiences, and teachers grow through the freedom to take instructional risks. At Oakridge, we will strive to meet this purpose each day.
Prior to serving MPS, I served Mid-Del Schools as an assistant middle school principal. Before I became a principal, I served as a special education/math teacher for Mid-Del Schools and Norman Public Schools. I have also served in capacities with Youth & Family Services of Canadian County and The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital. I received my Bachelor of Science in Special Education from OU, Master of Education in Educational Administration from SWOSU, and I am currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Education Administration, Curriculum, and Supervision from OU.
At Oakridge, we value the strong community that we have created. For this reason, I have an open-door policy with our staff, students, and families. Please feel free to call (405-735-4530), email (firstname.lastname@example.org), or stop by to visit with me in person.
Thank you for allowing me to serve your families.
We are Oakridge, We are Family!
