• Hey Saber Cubs!  I am so looking forward to another year at Oakridge!

I grew up in Texas and Oklahoma.  I graduated high school in Cordell, Oklahoma, in 1983.  I completed my Bachelor of Music Education and Bachelor of Arts in Music in 1987 at Southwestern Oklahoma State University.  I finished my Master of Arts in Music Performance from Southwestern in 1991. I finished my PhD in Music Education at the University of Oklahoma in 2002.

In the last 25 years I have taught every age from pre Kindergarten to post graduate.  This is my 19th year in Moore Public Schools.  Before teaching in Moore, I taught at OU, at Monroe Elementary in Norman, and as a band director in Dallas, Texas.  I also teach Music Appreciation at Oklahoma City Community College.

I played clarinet in high school and college, but now I focus on early instruments like the recorder.  I play in an early music group called Waytes and Measures, and we play music from the 11th-15th centuries.

I live here in Moore with my husband.  My older son lives and works in Edmond, my younger son lives and works in Norman, and my daughter is a Sophomore at UCO in Edmond.
