TUTORING INFORMATION• Tutoring is often available from your child's teachers. You or your child may contact the individual teacher for times and places for occasional tutoring when it appears that your child needs additional help. Email addresses can be found under the School Staff tab on the MWJH website.• Title I Tutoring - The MWJH Title I program offers tutoring in English/Language Arts and/or Math for any of our students who wish to receive the extra help.
MWJH Title covers the cost of this tutoring. We regret that we do not have the funds to cover the cost of transportation for students staying for tutoring; therefore, participants must leave the grounds by 3:30 to walk home or be picked up by a parent.Tutoring at Moore West Junior High is available to all students. This program will offer academic support and tutoring in reading and math. There is no cost for the program. Students may get an application from their reading or math teacher. A permission slip must be completed and returned before a student is allowed to stay for tutoring. Tutoring is available Monday through Friday from 2:20- 3:20. A morning time (7:00- 7:30 a.m.) is available upon request if there are enough interested students. If your child walks home or is picked up after school, he/she will be expected to leave the school grounds at 3:30 after the program ends.• Tutors are available at the Moore Library every Tuesday, from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m., for grades 7 through 12 in all subjects. This program is on a first come, first serve basis. Tutors are from Hillsdale College. To check dates, please call the library information desk at 793-5100. Also, the library is offering another free tutor aid, Brainfuse, which is a free online service that is offered through the library's website. It will connect anyone who is in need of academic help to a certified teacher virtually.
