• Dear New Parents and Students,

Welcome to the Fourth Grade at Bryant Elementary!  My name is June Rawlins, and I am excited for the year at Bryant Elementary to begin.  Being your child’s fourth grade teacher, I count it a privilege and joy to cherish, develop, and challenge your student.

Allow me to introduce my experience and qualifications… Initially, I studied at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana where I double majored in Elementary Education and Spanish and was their Feature Twirler for two years.  Desiring to be closer to home, I transferred to Washington State University and received my Bachelor of Arts and a “Fifth Year” in Elementary Education with a minor in Math and Spanish.  Yes, I am from Washington… and now I enjoy Oklahoma too!

In Washington I taught Fifth Grade for six wonderful years before remaining at home when my two lovely daughters were young.  During that time, I co-taught with my dear husband, Darryl, in a 5 through 12 year old bilingual setting for six years. This experience gave me many opportunities to practice the Spanish language and learn from the children and parents there.

Finally, the Lord brought my family to the state of Oklahoma about nine years ago.  In Oklahoma I taught middle school and high school students in a private school for three and a half years in the areas of Math, English, and Spanish.  Specifically at Bryant Elementary, I taught in a K-2 Resource Room at the end of 2013 and am eagerly awaiting the beginning of my 3rd year in Third Grade.

I look forward to interacting with you this year as we work together to cherish, challenge and watch your dear ones blossom!

    Warmly,

    Mrs. Rawlins
