•       How do elementary students qualify for S.E.A.R.C.H?
     
    A student may qualify for the S.E.A.R.C.H. program in one
    of the following ways:

    1. receiving a composite score in the 97th percentile or above on a nationally 
      normed intellectual ability test. Tests used for this type of placement may
      include, but are not limited to:

      Otis Lennon School Ability Test (OLSAT)

      Cognitive Abilities (CogAT)

      Naglieri Non-Verbal Ability Test (NNAT)

      Matrix Analogies Test

      Kauffman Brief Intelligence Test (K-Bit)

      Wechsler Intelligence Scale (WISC III)

    2. Receiving a determined matrix score using a combination of test scores, 
      grades, and parent/teacher checklist of gifted characteristics

    Referrals are made through the office of the counselor at each elementary site.
