Thank you SO much for supporting your child in the Highland West Band! It has been a wonderful year and a privilege to teach all of the students here. This letter is to share some information about our upcoming mattress sale fundraiser on Sunday, December 3rd. Please read on before crumpling up this letter and preparing a mean email to me! J
As you are probably aware, school funding, to put it bluntly, is low right now. To best serve your kids, the band program will be holding an additional fundraiser. The great news is that this fundraiser is VERY EASY!
We will hold a brief (30 minute) parent meeting on Thursday, November 16th at 6:30pm in the Highland West Band Room. The meeting will consist of an overview of how the mattress sale works. You and your child WILL NOT be selling mattresses personally! In a nutshell, the mattress sale sets up a showroom in the gym in December. We as an organization serve as a host site and as advertisers to spread the word. The company does ALL of the selling, paperwork, and delivery. We will be looking for a handful of adult volunteers and student volunteers to help during the sale on Sunday, December 3rd.
