Dear Parents,

The Junior class will be taking the ACT - for free on Tuesday, March 21st.

In order to support students on their journey towards college and career readiness, we are highlighting some of the test prep resources available for the ACT.

*Students can go online to OpenEd and access free instructional resources to help improve their scores on the ACT. These interactive resources include instructional videos, games, and practice quizzes aligned to the ACT reporting categories. Once a student takes a practice quiz, the student’s results are paired to numerous instructional tools to aid them in remediation and mastery of subjects assessed on the ACT.

*ACT Kaplan Online Prep Live is available for a fee;
however, there are a few free, pre-recorded sample test prep sessions on
demand in Science, Reading, Math, English, STEM, and ELA concepts.

*ACT Online Prep (AOP) is an online resource available
for a fee. AOP provides a personalized online learning path for students
that need to prepare for the ACT on a limited time schedule.

The local public library (Pioneer Library System) provides a lot of free online resources for ACT test-prep. Please see your SHS librarians or your local public library branch for assistance in accessing those resources.

Do you shop at Marcum’s? If so, give Southmoore a credit every time you shop.  When checking out, ask for a duplicate receipt and place it in the Southmoore mail slot. Marcum’s has provided a large mailbox bin for all the Moore Schools to collect receipts. They give back to the schools a percentage of each receipt.  Southmoore will use their credit for the Spring Campus Beautification project.
