  • Speech and Debate--The Southmoore Speech & Debate team competed this past weekend at the Moore High School Lion's Classic Tournament. Taking home medals and regional qualifications were Allie Carr, who received 1st in 6A Prose, Xavier Cruz, who received 2nd in 6A Monologue, and Lauren Haizlip, who received 3rd in 6A Monologue. Taking home medals in the champion's division were Tasheonia Dozier and Alexis Sowah, who received 1st in Dramatic Duet and Tasheonia Dozier, who received 3rd in Monologue. Wish us luck as we compete this weekend at Norman North!

  • Moore Love--SaberCats, we have 2 really big events next week that support Moore Love.  Next Tuesday night, at 6:30 at Southmoore's football field.  Come watch our girls battle it out on the football field, and our guys cheering them on from the sidelines!

    Then on Thursday, during 2nd hour, we will have our Moore Love Assembly.  Come watch one of Oklahoma's best magicians, Johnathan Meyer!  We will have some special guests from our elementary feeder schools; we'll reveal our Moore Love total, and our Powder Puff Cheerleaders will do an encore performance of their halftime routine from the Powder Puff game.  Tickets for the assembly go on sale on Monday.  They are $3 and can be purchased before school and at lunch in the commons.

  • Key Club--There will be a Key Club meeting this Friday, February 22nd at either 7:45 a.m. or 3:15 p.m. in room S224. New members are always welcome! Please join us in serving our school and our community!

  • Basketball--Congratulations to the Boys basketball Team. They are your Basketball City champions.
    The SaberCats went 4-0 this season vs the lions and jags.

    Playoffs: Regionals begin this Friday for the boys Basketball team. They will face the Broken Arrow Tigers at Sand Springs HS this Friday at 6:3.

  • Hat Week--It's  Hat Week!  You can buy a writstband for $5  to wear a hat every day, or an individual pass for $2 per day.  Passes will be sold before school in the commons or during the day in Lehew's room, S208.

  • Sequoyah List--Voting is open for the 2019 Sequoyah Book Awards. Voting will continues until March 15.

  • Choir--The Choir Boosters have two tickets for the chance to win two Ariana Grande tickets to her upcoming OKC concert. Tickets will not be sold individually but in groups of 5. You may purchase 5 tickets for $5, which gives you 5 chances to win. Tickets will be sold at lunch on Mondays & Wednesdays or from any choir Booster or choir student. Drawing will be held at the regularly scheduled Booster meeting on March 11th at 7:00 pm.
