Welcome!
Our Media Center provides a wide range of resources for the educational and recreational use of our students. The Media Center staff is happy to assist students in selecting and using materials. Our goal is to provide a useful collection of books and other resources for our students. Since our collection is heavily used by many students, there are some things you can help us with.
Encourage your child to share the books he or she checks out with you. Reading together helps our students read better.
Have a special “safe” place for library books at home so they don’t become damaged or lost.
Help your student remember to return his or her books on time. Students may keep library books two weeks, and most books may be renewed if more time is needed.
If a book is damaged, please return it to the library for repair. Only books that are lost or damaged beyond use will need to be paid for or replaced with a comparable book. We always prefer the book instead of money when a book is misplaced.
If you have any questions or concerns, please discuss them with your Library Media Specialist. I am glad to help you match the right books with your student.
Don’t forget our resources you can access from your home computer with our username and password. These are available from the library. You will find links to these sites on our Links page. EBSCO and SIRS are provided by the State for us to use, and WorldBook Online is provided by the District. We encourage you to use them often. You can even check our library catalog from home.
I hope our library and our online resources are a great help for your children and you.
