8e6

8e6 is the district's Internet filter. To meet federal CIPPA compliance the district must have a filter in place to block all pornographic content. The district uses 8e6 to block sites which may not be suitable for our students. With hundreds of thousands of new sites coming online every day, it is a chore to catch them all, but the program uses analytics to manage what is and is not acceptable.
