Welcome To Moore Public Schools

 
The Moore School District has been providing high quality education to students in the metropolitan area of Moore and south Oklahoma City for more than 100 years. The principles that guide this district include high student achievement, outstanding instruction, and strong community involvement. Success in these areas continues to make Moore one of the state's finest school systems.
 
Moore Public Schools offers Pre-K through 12th grade in the suburban areas of Moore and south Oklahoma City. With a student population of over 23,000, the system is the third largest in the state. It encompasses 32 schools in 159 square miles. Through the years, the district has maintained a tradition of high student achievement, outstanding instruction, and strong community support.

Annual Board Seat Election 
The Board of Education hereby provides notice that the annual school election filing period for school board candidates will open between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning Monday, December 1, 2014 through Wednesday, December 3, 2014.   Candidates must file for candidacy through the county where the supervision of the school district is located (Cleveland County) or the county of his or her residency (Cleveland or Oklahoma).  The annual election for board seat #5 will be held on February 10, 2015.  
Board Member Position on Ballot:  Voters registered with the county election board at an address within the geographical boundaries of school election district No. 5 of Moore Public Schools shall elect a member for Board Position No. 5 which has a 5-year term of office.  The geographical boundaries of district No. 5 are:
 
Beginning at the corner of S.W. 82nds Street and S. Portland Avenue, go east to S. Walker Avenue, then south to S.W. 104th Street, then east to Santa Fe. Avenue.  Proceed south to N.W. 12th St./S.W. 119th Street, then west to S. Pennsylvania Avenue, then north to S.W. 104th Street - then proceed west to S. Portland Avenue, and north back to S.W. 82nd Street.
