Our school district, as well as the entire community, has weathered a particularly difficult 2013; yet despite the sad and challenging circumstances of this past year, exciting things are on the horizon for Moore Public Schools as we enter 2014.The rebuilding of Plaza Towers and Briarwood Elementary School will be completed, as well as the fine arts and athletic facility at Highland East Jr. High.Additionally, two new elementary schools are currently being built and during 2014, we will see the construction of a new junior high. During the upcoming new year, we will continue our efforts to make each of our classrooms a true learning place for children and one that motivates every young person to reach his or her absolute maximum potential.
This time of the year always gives us a chance to pause, reflect, and refocus. It is my fervent wish that each of you relax and remember fond memories that bring a smile and create new memories in 2014 that will last a lifetime. As we wrap up the year, I am reminded how fortunate we are to live in a community that is resilient, strong, and dedicated to making our schools and community even stronger in the new year.
