Dear Parent/Guardian,

Beginning with the 2011-12 school year, Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, acellular Pertussis) vaccine will be required for students entering the 7th grade in all Oklahoma schools. Tdap is a booster dose of Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis vaccines. One dose of Tdap is routinely recommended at 11-12 years of age. One dose is also recommended for adolescents 13-18 years of age who have not already received a dose. We wanted to give you plenty of notice so your child can meet this requirem
ent. Please send an updated copy of your child’s immunization letter to the Current school when they have received Tdap.

Cleveland County Health Department provides free immunizations Monday-Thursday. Clinic hours are 8:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. on a drop-in basis. No appointment is necessary.
