Southmoore High School, a state of the art High School that serves the students of south OKC and Moore,  opened in August of 2008.  Establishing new traditions that focus on the Five A's of excellence:  academics, activities, athletics, attitude, and the arts is a Southmoore commitment.  We are guided by our core value of "Respect Yourself and Others in All You Do".

Southmoore High School is a 6A school accredited by the North Central Association, the Oklahoma State Department of Education and the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association.
Moore Public Schools consists of 3 high schools and is the third largest district in the state.  The area supports 16 colleges and universities.  Major employers include the state government, Tinker Air Force Base, Dell Corporation, Southwest Airlines, Chesapeake Energy, Devon Energy, Federal Aviation Administration and Gaylord Enterprises.
Southmoore places a strong emphasis on Academics.  College-bound students may take advantage of several Pre-AP/AP (Advanced Placement) classes to earn college credit while still in high school while others may participate in vocational classes through a partnership with Moore-Norman Technology Center.  Accredited classes are also provided for students with mild/moderate or severe/profound exceptional needs.
The High School also provides many extracurricular activities and organizations for students.  These organizations are varied and the student members are actively involved in community service projects.
