This is my 22nd year to teach science. I taught 7th grade for ten years at Highland East Junior High; I am looking forward to starting my 12th year as a Jaguar. I am currently teaching Anatomy & Physiology and General Biology. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Science Education and a minor in Zoology. I also earned an associate degree from Rose State College.
I loved school when I was a little girl; I really wanted to be a teacher. However, when I was in 6th grade someone told me that I was not smart enough to become a pediatrician. So, I then decided that I wanted to be a doctor. I went through 4 years of college as Pre-Med. One day during anatomy class, I realized that "this stuff was cool" but really did not want to be a doctor. I decided that I was only trying to prove a point and decided I really wanted to be a teacher. I changed my major and graduated 3 semesters later with my education degree.
