Hello and Welcome to Ms. Detamore's Site!

I am excited that this is my tenth year at Moore High School. I have been a teacher in the Moore district for the past 31 years.  In 2011 I achieved my National Board Certification, and I believe that the rigorous National Board process helped me to grow as an educator and to become more aware of my students' instructional needs. In April of 2012, I was proud to receive the State Superintendent's Art Educator Award for Oklahoma for Arts Excellence. This award is given to one visual art teacher in our state each year, and it was a joy to be handed my plaque by State Superintendent Janet Baressi and Dr. Brad Benson who is Co-Chair of the Oklahoma Alliance for Art Education, an affiliate of the Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education Network. For  4 years I  taught 3-D Art classes at Moore High, but have changed my curriculum to 2-D Drawing and Painting for the 2-D Studio Art classes. I have two grown children, a son and a daughter,  and a Manchester Terrier named Jack who keep me busy and happy.
