English IV: British Literature
English IV is for Seniors and is the study of British Literature from its beginnings, which included influences from Romans, the Anglo-Saxons, the Vikings, and then eventually France. We will study a wide variety of British literature, and students will be expected to write a formal research paper as part of this course. The basic units we will explore are: The Anglo-Saxon Period and the Middle Ages, The English Renaissance, From Puritanism to the Enlightenment, The Triumph of Romanticism, The Victorian Age, The Modern Age, and An International Literature.
Tuesday, February 19 to Friday, March 15, 2019 - We are doing a research unit which includes a personal mission statement, study of Stephen Covey's 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, and a research paper over a career of the student's interest.
NO SCHOOL - Teacher In-Service - Monday, February 18, 2019
March 1, 2019 will be our next VISTA Community Service Day at Hillcrest Family Worship Center. Students will need to bring $10 to eat lunch off-campus that day.
