• Violation/Misuse of District Owned Equipment

     

    The computers and printer designated for classroom use are not to be abused in any way.  This includes but is not limited to the following:

     

                (1) Vandalism

                (2) Attempting to install software or downloads

                (3) Attempting to change the default desktop settings

                (4) Bringing any form of music such as MP3 players, headphones, or any other device for the purpose of playing on                             district owned equipment – Listening to music will not be allowed under any circumstance.

                (5) Any other action deemed inappropriate by the teacher or other school officials

     

    Classroom Use of the Internet

     

    Students are expected to be responsible users of the Internet.  Each student has received a student handbook through his/her 1st Hour class.  Students were required to sign for receipt of the handbook.  The student’s signature indicates acceptance of the handbook and responsibility of all material contained therein including the Internet-Electronic Network Usage Policy, pages 46-48.  Under no circumstance is the Internet to be used for the purpose of playing games, listening to music, or participating in any other activity that is not pertinent to the curriculum of this class.  All guidelines are to be strictly followed as stated in the Internet-Electronic Network Usage Policy.

     

    Abuse/violation of either of the above mentioned two topic areas (Violation/Misuse of District Owned Equipment and Classroom Use of the Internet) will result in disciplinary action which may include one or more of the following: potential loss of Internet privileges, potential loss of computer privileges, detention, parent contact, or principal referral.
