    Help Your Child Read!
     
    1. Read to your child.
    2. Reading many different books to your child increases his/her vocabulary.
    3.  Understanding what he/she reads is what reading is all about.
    4.  You are your child's coach and support.  Ask your child questions
          about what  you read or about what they read to you.
    5.  Read lots of nonfiction and fiction books together.
    6.  Read at least 20 minutes everyday together.
    7.  Read to, with, and let your child read to you.
    8.  Make the reading time be a fun time.
