Intermediate Algebra- This course offers students the opportunity to reinforce and enhance their algebra skills to further prepare them for an Algebra II course. Students will investigate functional relationships and use algebraic concepts and methods as a means of representation and as a tool for logical reasoning and problem solving. Number concepts will be extended to include irrational and complex numbers and their application to real-world situations. Students will use geometric ideas and tools to represent two-and three-dimensional situations and to understand the essential role of measurement. Exploratory data analysis and statistical tools will be utilized to solve problems involving probability.
