• Dear Parent or Guardian,
     
    I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself and express my excitement about working with your child this coming school year.  I love teaching 9th-12th graders.  I love teaching history because I feel like all of my students should feel a connection with the past.  I care for each of my students and believe they can grow and develop by examining the issues we will be covering in class.  The main goal in my US History  class is to show not only the connection that the past has with the present but also for them to examine the world around them and their place in it. 
     
    I have a subscription to Quizlet. It is an online flashcard, review, and test site.  We use this site in class for vocabulary races and for review.  The students have access to it at home, on tablets, or on smartphones.  They can find my flashcards online for their review for most chapters.  All they need to do it type in the topic and do a seach of my username.  They are provided this in class.
     
    If you would like to meet me to discuss your child's performance or any other problems that he/she is facing in class, you can feel free to meet me during hours  between 8:00-8:45.   It will be appreciated if you tell me a day before to fix the meeting. Apart from this, you can also e-mail me at tamaramiller@mooreschools.com to discuss any concern you have about your child.
