Mrs. Reed loves to TALK!!!!
Ok I do love to talk, but that is not why I am a speech teacher. I come from a long line of teachers. My grandma was a teacher and my mother was a kindergarten teacher for 32 years. Playing school and helping my mom prepare her classrooms were two of my favorite things to do growing up. I attended college at the University of Oklahoma (Go Sooners!!!!) and after trying many other majors, I went with my heart and chose Elementary Education. I graduated and even student taught in a first grade classroom. But, I then went on to receive my Masters in Speech - Language Pathology so I could "teach" speech. After graduating with my Masters in 2001, I was hired by the Moore Public Schools. I began my job at Winding Creek in the Fall of 2001 and worked there until May of 2014. While I was there, I was honored to be the 2007-2008 Teacher of the Year. I am so excited about being a Wayland Bonds Bronco. I love working with the students, teachers and parents. My job is awesome because each student is unique and it keeps me on my toes! Having a speech impairment can be vary frustrating, but we celebrate each others' accomplishments no matter how big or how small. I am also a wife and a mother to a daughter and a son. I am very proud of my work with my family and with all of my students, past and present and look forward to what the future has in store for me!!!! Oh and I am very proud to be a Wayland Bonds Bronco!
