Girls Fitness & P.E.
Students will learn to be aware of the food they are eating and will participate in cardiovascular training, toning muscles, and aerobic workouts. Students will learn the importance of a well-balanced diet as well as participate in daily physical activity. They will demonstrate this knowledge by using a variety of training methods during the semester.
Students will receive weekly points for dressing out and for participation in class activities. Points will also be earned for weekly for ½ mile-2mile runs. Runs will be worth 50 points each and we will work up to increase cardiovascular fitness levels.
10 pts. Dressing Out/10 pts. Participation
20 pts. Per day = 100 pts. For the week
DRESSING OUT AND LOCKERS
Students must bring a combination locker and will have their own locker in the P.E. locker room. Students will keep only their workout clothes in their locker do not bring any valuables to locker room we are not responsible for lost or stolen items DO NOT SHARE LOCKERS. Dressing out includes:
ATHLETIC SHORTS OR SWEATS
(No jeans, or khakis, no open toes, flip-flops, sandals, flats, or boots)
I must have a doctor's note in order for a student to be excused from any activity. I will also need the doctor's note once the student is ready to participate. Student's will be writing essays or doing worksheets for their daily grade. A guardian's note will not be sufficient.
1) Have a good attitude and respect others (NO CUSSING!!!)
2) Follow all rules of games, sports, or activities (NO CHEATING!!!)
3) No cell phones or other electronic devices
4) Do not leave gym unless given permission
5) Work hard & have fun
