Mrs. Diane Green

I graduated from the University of Oklahoma.  My major was Spanish and my minor was French.  I was lucky enough to spend a month in Colima, Mexico during my college years.  This was when I realized how much more one can learn through "total immersion" than just in a classroom! I remember well when I was a 7th grade student in my first class of Spanish. It was only 9 weeks, but I loved it!  I find great joy in working with my students now as they begin their study of a new language.
Right after college, I worked as a travel agent for many years. I had the opportunity to make many trips to Mexico and other Spanish- speaking countries.  Later, I taught travel school at Moore Norman Technology Center.  Following this, I taught my first Spanish classes there - to adults.  I also have taught elementary Spanish classes in Norman Public Schools.  In 2007, I finally got to teach high school Spanish- levels 1, 2, 3 and 4.  I spent 5 years making the commute from Norman to Bethany High School. It was a great experience, but I was so excited when I began the job closer to home at Brink Jr. High in 2012. This year, 2020-2021, will be my first at Moore High School.  I will have 2 hours of Spanish 1 and 3 hours of Spanish 2 with students from 9th-12th grades.
I married my college sweetheart- he also has a degree in Spanish.  He and I have been blessed to have 4 children together, two boys and two girls.  My "baby" just graduated from OU. I have the two cutest grandsons, born in Aug 2016 and March 2018. ;)  My family and my career fill my life!
