WELCOME TO THE COUNSELING CENTER!Jennifer Cox - 8th grade CounselorMeri Taylor - 7th grade CounselorWELCOME TO THE 2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR!This is our 8th year to be open and we are looking forward to an awesome year. GO LEOPARDS!As Counselors, it is our goal to provide resources and services to students, parents, and teachers in order to help students find success in attaining their academic, social, and emotional goals.We focus on developing coping and decision-making skills through individual or group counseling. Students are seen through self-referral, parent, teacher, or principal referral.Our other responsibilities include - but are not limited to - enrollment, course selection, schedule analysis, identifying students for the Duke Talent Search Program, ICAP activities, classroom visits, tutoring opportunities, Career Day coordination, Student Portal, attending IEP and 504 meetings, monitoring students on 504s, and executing the State tests.Be watching for information on resources and opportunities.
