Ms. Stacee Trump

Hello! My name is Stacee Trump, this is my 6th year teaching and my 6th year at Apple Creek! Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, serving the church, playing board games, crafting (sewing and painting), and playing outside, enjoying nature (as long as its not too hot!). Most of my energy is focused on my two daughters. I greatly enjoy teaching in my functional classroom because I love getting to know the students and their families by developing relationships and watching the progress of each child over the years.

My Education: When I began my college career, I hoped to be a pediatrician. I started as a Pre-Medical Student at Oklahoma City Community College where I received my Assoicates of Science (in Chemstry/Pre-Med). I transfered to the University of Oklahoma and graduated with my Bachelors of Science (in Health and Medicine emph. in Psychology).

When I became pregnant with my second daughter, I deciede that I did not want to spend most of my daughters' childhood in Medical School. I decided to pursue Special Education. I love working with children and I was able to utilize my interest in psychology. In order to start my teaching career, I completed the Oklahoma State Department of Education's Boot camp to receive a provisional certificate while working towards becoming fully certified.

I obtained my Masters in Special Education (with a certificate in Applied Behavioral Analysis) from the University of Oklahoma and became fully certified in Elementary Education and Mild/Moderate Disabilities. I am currently working towards certification as a Certified Behavioral Analyst. I am eager to learn and I am constantly searching for professional development opportunities.

My Decision to be an Educator: I decided to pursue a career in education because I love children; it is my passion and calling to teach. I enjoy my career in special education; I am very confident that every child learns and I enjoy the challenge of finding the unique learning methods a child needs to succeed. Every child is different and every day is something new.

Awards: I have had the honor of receiving Apple Creek's 2018/2019 Teacher of the Year award as well as the Masonic Fraternity's Teacher of Today Award (2018/2019).

I am excited to be part of the team that helps your child thrive.
