Library Usage and Reservations Policies

  • Reserving Library Space:

To reserve space in the library, whether to use the computer lab, to work at tables, or to have classes check out books, please email, call, or ask Linda Poorman, Amy Haskins, or Danny Sanders, to check the Library’s master calendar for availability. Please keep in mind that Testing Dates set by the site administration may take priority. We will make every effort to accommodate your schedule if a conflict arises. If your plans change, please notify us so we may open the library to other teachers.

If you need equipment from the library, such as the Chrome cart or a projector, please email us at least two days prior so we will have the equipment available to you.

To reserve the Lecture Center, please contact Jenny Wheeler for availability.

    Sending Students to the Library:

All students must have a hall pass/permission slip signed by the classroom teacher to use the library. If the student does not have a pass signed by the classroom teacher, the student will be sent back to class.

The classroom teacher must accompany whole classes to the library and remain with them while the class is using the library. If the classroom teacher is absent, a substitute teacher may not bring the class to the library, and alternative plans should be utilized.

By following these policies, we hope to make the library available to as many teachers and classes as possible. We look forward to working with you this year. If you have any questions, please contact us.
