Hello Southridge Leopards! I'm Maranda Montgomery and I'm the Physical Education teacher here at Southridge. I'm starting my 4th year of teaching and 2nd year at Southridge. I am so excited to see you all and get back to the classroom. Physical Education class will look different this year but my plan is to still keep all activities educational and fun.

Background on myself:

In high school, I attended a small school out in western Oklahoma. Throughout HS, I played basketball, softball, and track. During my senior year, my team and I won the state tournament in class B. I graduated HS in 2013 and was named valedictorian of my graduating class. 

After high school, I attended Southwestern Christian University in Bethany, OK on a academic and basketball scholarship. While at SCU, I was a member of the women’s basketball team all four years. During my junior and senior years, I was named to several all-conference teams. I graduated SCU in 2017 with a degree in Physical Education. While at SCU, I meet my now husband, Cory. 

After graduating college, I taught at Kingfisher Middle School and also coached basketball, softball, and track. After teaching at Kingfisher for two years, I moved to SW OKC and accepted the PE position at Southridge. 

I am thrilled to be a leopard and to teach all things PE.
