THEATRE CLASSES THEATRE 1
1 Semester - Taught By Mrs. Baugus
This class is a performance-oriented class which focuses on the development early theater skills. Emphasis is placed on the development of concentration, observation, pantomine, improv, and character-development skills. Class activities include pantomimes, duet acting, improvisation, costuming, make-up, and an introduction to technical aspects of play production. There are no after school rehearsals or requirements. There is a $10 fee for the semester.
THEATRE 2
2 Semesters - Taught By Ms. G. (Thomison)
This course is a continuation of the earlier drama class. It is a performance oriented class which focuses on the development of theater. Other areas covered in this course are character analysis, monologues, auditions, script reading, and production elements. This class will produce a one-act play in addition to class projects. There are no after-school rehearsals or requirements. There is a $20 fee for the year.
THEATRE 3
2 Semesters - Taught By Ms. G. (Thomison)
This course is a continuation of the earlier drama class. It is a performance oriented class which focuses on the development of theater. THEATRE 4- Advanced Theatre
2 Semesters - Taught By Ms. G (Thomison)
This class is more focused on the business side of theatre. It focuses on helping putting on our musical, play, one acts, drama camps, and helping with fundraisers. The seniors in this class are required to direct something. This includes drama camps, productions, and one acts. All students in this class will be required to be in productions. There is a $20 fee for the year.
TECHNICAL THEATRE & DESIGN
2 Semesters - Taught By Ms. G (Thomison)
This class is for students who enjoy the technical aspects of the theatre. This class will focus on set design, lighting design, sound design, terms of the theatre, and building sets for our productions. This is hands on based class. Students in this class class can be crew or technical crew in musical and play production. There is a $20 fee for the year.
