• Hello Oakridge Family,

I am excited to be an Oakridge Sabercub this year.  I am eager to meet you all and get to know you and your children.

I am a native Oklahoman, born in Watonga, Oklahoma and graduated from Amber Pocassett.  I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma.  My career in education started in Moore Public School as a classroom teacher at Central Elementary, teaching first grade.  I then moved to Sky Ranch Elementary.  When my children graduated from high school, I decided to return to school to work on obtaining my Master's in Educational Leadership at the University of Central Oklahoma.  I then decided to continue on and complete my Master's in Reading.  While completing my Master's, I had the opportunity to work at Red Oak Elementary and then as the Title 1 teacher at Plaza Towers.  Once I completed those degrees, I became the Literacy Coach at Southgate Elementary.  The last four years, I have been an Assistant Principal serving four different schools.

I believe that each school and each position has helped to shape me into the person that I am today.  Those schools have also helped to shape my belief that every school and every student has a story that is their own.  That story shines the more we come to know the individuals and the heart of the school.  I believe that connecting and building a system of trust is necessary in my role as an educator and leader.  By building this type of relationship, I can help each child and teacher grow and develop their individual skills and talents.  I am excited  to learn the story of Oakridge and its families.

When I am not in school, I enjoy hanging out with my daughters and grandchildren.  Some of my favorite things to do with them are going on hikes, going to the park, and making cookies or cakes.  I love to read, watch movieds or a good series on Netflix.

    Warm Regards,

    Tina Losada, M.Ed
