Introduction to Engineering Design
In PLTW Introduction to Engineering Design, you will learn how engineers apply a design process to solve real-world problems. You will work individually and as a member of collaborative teams to apply math, science, and a variety of engineering tools, including 3D modeling software, to design, document, and communicate your engineering work. Many of the transportable skills you practice in this course—such as communication, collaboration, ethical reasoning, and process thinking—can be applied to your other courses and your future career!
Principles of Engineering
In this course, you will explore how modern engineers are helping improve the world through diverse engineering fields such as product design, robotics, mechanical design, as well as infrastructure and sustainability. You'll learn some of the cutting-edge tools of robotics, 3-D modeling, programming, and prototyping that engineers are using to solve problems today and for the future!
*NOTE: The above courses require a separate MNTC application, and advanced math placement (Geometry or higher entering high school)
