Counseling Programs

Student Services is responsible for the counselor curriculum and providing material for an effective program.  Counselors are instrumental in providing a safe, non-threatening, trusting, secure atmosphere for a positive school climate.  They focus on meeting the developmental, emotional and social needs of the students through classroom guidance, small group and individual counseling.  Moore Public Schools currently employs 25 elementary, 11 junior high (grades 7-8), and 18 high school counselors (grades 9-12), as well as one at VISTA.  Contact with the appropriate counselor can be accomplished through the individual school sites.
