    About Model United Nations
Model United Nations gives students the opportunity to experience the workings of the United Nations and to actively gain first-hand knowledge of international politics by acting as delegates from other countries. Through this simulation students learn how the United Nations works collaboratively with other nations of the world to solve the crisis and issues in the world.

    Responsibilities of the Student Delegate:
Attend 50% of all meetings to attend conferences
Research and come to meetings prepared
Have a passing grade in all classes

Each meeting has a specific topic in mind and is geared towards preparing students for conferences, so attendance is encouraged. If a student cannot make a practice it is imperative that they contact a sponsor. Nothing can be more frustrating for a group than to wait on a delegate who is not coming.

All practices are on Friday afternoons from 2:40 to 4:00 in the media center.

    Conference Attendance Responsibilties:
Have all permission slips signed and returned to a sponsor
Must wear business casual clothing. No jeans, t-shirts, tennis shoes or flip flops
Follow all rules of Brink Jr. High and Moore Public Schools

Our OU High School conference will be February 20 - 23.

Students are required to get all make-up work before missing school for a conference. It is the students' responsibility for getting the work, doing the work, and turning the work in on time.
