  • Tutors--Moore Public Schools tutoring program is hiring 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students to tutor 4th through 8th graders after school.  Applicants should maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or above and be able to have transportation to junior high locations.  Tutoring hours are 4:30-7:30, Monday through Thursday.  If you are interested, request a flyer from the counseling center.  Application deadline is Sept. 29.

  • Cross Country--Congratulations to the boys and girls cross country team for their outstanding performance at the Choctaw Jacket Run! Last Friday, Joel Haynes placed 7th overall, Adrian Sombrano finished 11th and Kaid Ross finished 15th. The boys team placed 5th overall at the meet. Emily Johnson and Kassidy Burnett both PR’d. Congratulations Cross Country!

  • Future Voters of Southmoore--Your voice matters and registering to vote allows your voice to be heard! If you are 17 and a half or older, you are eligible to register to vote. You can find all of the information needed to register to vote at @futurevoters_shs on Instagram. You can also go to S109 during 6th hour for more information about voter registration.

  • PSAT--ATTENTION FRESHMAN, SOPHOMORES AND JUNIORS!!  IT IS TIME TO SIGN UP FOR THE PSAT TEST FOR THIS YEAR. THE TEST WILL BE OCTOBER 14TH, 1ST-4TH HOURS IN THE LECTURE CENTER.  FRESMAN AND SOPHOMORES, THIS IS THE PRACTICE TEST FOR THE NATIONAL MERIT QUALIFYING TEST THAT YOU WILL TAKE YOUR JUNIOR YEAR.  Juniors: If you would like to take the PSAT/NMSQT on October 14th, it will be the qualifying test for National Merit.   Anyone wanting to take the test will need to go to the counseling center to sign up and pay the $20 fee with Mrs. Clifton. You will also receive a practice book.  Deadline to sign up is October 13th. This will be on a first come first serve basis due to a limited quantity available. You must have the $20 when you sign up to reserve a spot. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Clifton in the counseling center
