Hello, My name is Marla Journeay. I have been a part of the Moore School System for all of my life. I attended kindergarten through 12th grade in this district. My first position was at Apple Creek Elementary as an assistant teacher. I then worked at Sky Ranch and Houchin as an assistant teaching Title 1. When I achieved my teaching certification, I was hired for my first year as a certified teacher at Northmoor. I finished my entry year there and then I was happy to return to Houchin, where I had been for many years. I left the Moore district for one year but I was very happy to return to my home. Moore schools are the best district in the state. This is my 2ndd year teaching Resource at Winding Creek and I love it here. 

I have been working in education for 23 years now and of that, I have been a certified special education/Resource teacher for 15 years. I love children and I think it is my calling to work with kids. I hope to teach them academic knowledge as well as social connections that will serve them for the rest of their lives.
