MPS Moore Love Campaign Earns Over $378,700 for Local Nonprofits
Moore Public Schools completed its annual fundraising effort for local nonprofits and its students, their families, employees, community members and business partners raised a combined total of $378,731.95. The nonprofits will receive checks next month to help them sustain selected programs or develop new initiatives. The Bridges Moore concept will also be a step closer to becoming a reality for MPS.

MHS Senior Voegele is a National Merit Finalist and Scored 36 on the ACT
MHS senior Reese Voegele recently learned he is a National Merit Finalist after already earning a perfect 36 on the ACT. He attributes his success to three things: his family, his teachers, and most of all, personal discipline.

Free ACT for Juniors April 4
All MPS juniors will take the ACT test free of charge at their high school sites on April 4.

First United Bank of Moore Provides Books to Plaza Towers Elementary Through Scholastic Book Fair
Plaza Towers Elementary is partnering with First United Bank of Moore and Scholastic Books to host a Scholastic Book Fair with in-person readings on Feb. 6-10. It is part of a wider goal of reaching out to schools that have historically not had full student participation in the annual book fair experience.

Federal Waivers for Free School Meals End June 30 in Oklahoma
The final waiver that provided free school lunches for public school students throughout the pandemic ends June 30. Moore Public Schools’ families must apply for the Free and Reduced Lunch program to continue receiving meal benefits for their students when school begins on Thurs., Aug. 11.

Senior Walks at Elementary Schools
Seniors from Moore, Westmoore and Southmoore High Schools will hold commencement exercises this week, but last week, seniors had the chance to visit their former elementary schools and walk the halls to the thunderous claps and cheers from MPS littles. Each graduation is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the MPS Football Stadium on Eastern Ave. WHS graduation is May 17, Southmoore is May 19 and Moore is May 20.
