In-District Transfers - Moore Public Schools

In-District Transfer Request Information

(Your student must be currently enrolled in an MPS school to request a transfer)

The superintendent or his/her designee will consider in-district student transfer requests based on the following provisions:
- Availability of the program
- Availability of staff
- Availability of space
- Out of school suspension as identified at 70 O.S. Section 24-101.3
- Significant student discipline and/or attendance concerns
Students granted In-District Transfers are responsible for providing their own transportation to and from school.
Students may remain on a single Elementary or Secondary In-District Transfer at the discretion of the Receiving Principal. Any significant student issues may affect current and future transfer status.

You will be contacted by the school site where you requested the transfer as soon as a decision has been made.

Who should apply?

Any currently enrolled student not currently on an In-District Transfer who is requesting to attend another MPS school not associated with their address.
Student entering 7th grade currently on an Elementary In-District Transfer must complete a NEW Secondary In-District Transfer Request.

If my student is already on a transfer do I have to complete a new one each year?

Only currently enrolled 6th grade students, who will be enrolled in 7th grade for the following year, need to complete a new Secondary In-District Transfer Request.
All current In-District Transfers will remain in effect unless revoked by the receiving school principal.

When can I apply for the next school year?

Only Parents / Legal Guardians can request an In-District Transfer through your Parent Portal Account.

Complete the appropriate form for your student’s grade level
You will be contacted by the receiving school as soon as a decision has been made
- Any questions regarding In-District Transfer status should be directed to the receiving school site
