Welcome to Moore Public Schools! We are happy to partner with you and your child. Our Pre-K programs strive to meet young children where they are in their stage of development. Our teachers focus on early childhood best practices that include a social-emotional framework and a comprehensive curriculum centered on early literacy and mathematical concepts.

The goal for every MPS Pre-K class is to provide a balance of social-emotional development and academics through purposeful play. We want each child to experience joyful learning. A half-day program is available in either the morning or the afternoon at the following schools:

  • Early: 8:25-11:02 a.m., or 12:26-3:03 p.m. - Fairview and Red Oak
  • Late: 9:10-11:47 a.m., or 1:11-3:48 p.m. - Broadmoore, Bryant, Central, Earlywine, Houchin, Santa Fe, Sky Ranch, Sooner, Southgate-Rippetoe, Timber Creek

  • Students must be at least four years of age on or before Sept. 1, 2026. The parent or legal guardian must be a resident of the Moore Public Schools District.
  • The Moore Public Schools pre-kindergarten program is a voluntary, space-available program.
  • The maximum class size is 20 students, and classes are taught by an Early Childhood Certified teacher.  Each class also has a teacher's assistant.
  • Children are encouraged to be potty-trained before entering an MPS Pre-K.
  • Students should be able to clean themselves and change clothes, if necessary, after using the toilet.
  • At this time, transportation isn’t provided for Pre‑K students. Families will need to make their own arrangements for getting their little one to and from school each day. We know this can take a bit of planning, and we appreciate your partnership in helping your Pre‑K student start and end their day safely! Please remember to make sure your daycare will transport your student to the school you plan to choose.

  • Please know that while we do our very best to honor family requests, we can’t guarantee that spots will be available for placement changes after the initial assignment.
We appreciate your understanding and will gladly help explore options if openings become available.

  • To complete PK enrollment, proof of residence must be in the legal parent or guardian's name.
  • If you reside with someone and do not have one of the required proofs of residency in your name, you will need to fill out a co-residency verification form (Available beginning June 1 at the MPS enrollment Center).

PRE-K AND LOTTERY PLACEMENT INFORMATION

We’re so glad you’re applying for Pre‑K! Here’s what you can expect during the placement process:

Families who submit their application by the end of the day on February 6, 2026, will receive an email on February 27 with their child’s placement information.

To make things fair for everyone, a lottery placement will be used to determine a child's school. Only verified applications will be included in the drawing. We will place students based on the availability of the three school choices you select.

If a spot isn’t available at any of your chosen sites, don’t worry — your child will be placed on a waitlist. As openings become available, we will contact families in the order they appear on the list.

If any documents are missing or incomplete, we’ll return the application so it can be corrected and resubmitted. Once everything is updated, we’ll continue processing it.

Be sure to check your spam or junk mail for important messages from the Enrollment Center.

If you need help at any point, we’re here for you!
Please contact the MPS Enrollment Center at 405‑735‑4281 or email enrollment@mooreschools.com with a subject line like “PK Lottery Placement.”
