We are excited to announce that MPS uses a secure school-to-home communication platform called ParentSquare.

All MPS district and school, grade level, athletics, emergency notifications, and classroom information will be sent to you via email and/or text through ParentSquare.

Parents and guardians may engage using the ParentSquare App, and secondary students (7^th to 12^th) may use the StudentSquare App. Both apps are free through your device’s app store.

Please note: Some classroom communication will still be sent via the Canvas Learning Management System during the school year.

This unified communications platform keeps parents and guardians quickly informed and encourages greater engagement and connection with your student(s)' school. ParentSquare provides a safe way for district administrators, school principals, teachers, coaches, staff, and parents to:

Why are school staff only allowed to use certain apps to communicate?

What are the district-approved communication platforms?

ParentSquare(PSQ) - District and school announcements, reminders, and urgent notifications; teacher-to-parent and teacher-to-student direct messages for school related information.

Canvas – Classroom communications (new/missing assignment reminders, assignment instructions, quiz and test reminders...)

MPS email account – Staff will use their @mooreschools accounts and students should use their @moorestudents.com Microsoft accounts.

Infinite Campus Messenger – As we navigate the transition to PSQ, some communications may still be sent with IC messenger.

Are teachers and students allowed to direct message without including a parent?

How do I set up my ParentSquare account?

Parents/Guardians should have a text and/or email invite from the district or school site. Follow the instructions to register your account at parentsquare.com. You may also download the ParentSquare app and log in using the same email or phone number you provided when you enrolled your student.

*If you need to update your contact information, you can do so within Parent Portal Settings/Contact Preferences. Once you update your email or cell phone, it will take 24 hours to sync with ParentSquare.

What if I can't get connected to PSQ?

Login to your Infinite Campus Parent Portal account to make sure your email and phone number are correct. You might also need to check with your school’s secretary to see if you are listed as an official guardian in your student’s school records.

How do I update my language preferences?

My child is not showing up on my account; how do I add them?

I am the primary caregiver, but I am not a legal guardian of my child. How can I connect to my child’s school communication?

Contact your school's front office. They will provide you with our MPS FERPA Release Form, where the legal guardian can grant permission to an individual to receive school communication for the student. These forms must be completed per student and both legal guardian and individual listed on the FERPA Release must show their ID in person at the school.

*Do NOT bring the FERPA Release Form to the Enrollment Center or Administrative Service Center.

I am getting too many texts on my phone. How do I change this?

Change your notifications by going to My Account, then Notification Settings. Everyone receives email and text notifications by default, but if you download the ParentSquare App, you can adjust those notification preferences there as well.

Choose Instant to receive all published Posts instantly. Choose Digest to receive one summary notification at the end of the day.
