Tro's is known as a wordsmith and one of a kind personality, which is evident in his eloquent bio:

"I began my career in Athletic Training in 2004, as a grad asst AT for Midwestern State, working with Football, Men's Soccer, and Men's basketball; all of which qualified for the NCAA postseason tournaments for their respective sport. I also served as a host AT for the NCAA D2 soccer elite 8 that was hosted by Midwestern State that Winter. My next stop was Oral Roberts University, where I served as the AT for Baseball, Men's Golf, Men's & Women's Tennis, and assisted with Men's and Women's Soccer and Track/Field for two years. While at ORU, the baseball team reached their first ever super regional (at Clemson), after beating OSU and Arkansas out of the Fayetteville regional. During my time with the baseball team, over 20 players were signed to professional contracts and we were able to expand the Athletic Training and Strength & Conditioning facilities to accommodate the needs of such a high profile mid-major program.

In 2007, I accepted the Head Athletic Trainer position at Rogers State University, spending a year there before transitioning to a clinic-outreach position with Tulsa Bone and Joint Associates, covering the Tulsa Talons of the Arena Football League. In 2010, I took on a larger role with TB&J and began working as their liaison with Integris-Baptist Hospital in Miami, OK. From 2010-2011, I worked as the head AT for the Tulsa Talons, as well as the Athletic Training Coordinator for Integris. In the Fall of 2011, I began working as the Head Athletic Trainer for Cascia Hall prep school in Tulsa, whilst continuing my work as the outreach coordinator for TB&J, beginning the ground work for their expansion into clinics in Owasso and Broken Arrow.

During the Fall of 2012, I was convinced to move to Southmoore, to take on the role of Head Athletic Trainer, and rebuild a sports med program that had already experienced quite a bit of turnover, having 3 Head ATs in 4 years of existence.

Since 9/17/12, I've been the Head AT for the SaberCats, growing the AT student-aide program from 8 total students, to a consistent 15+ each year; most of which are honors students with GPAs that rank them in the top 10% of their class. We have also had three students selected to the OCA All-State Athletic Training roster since 2015. During my time here, we have been fortunate to expand the AT facilities from one room that was ~400 sq ft, to two facilities that are over ~1,000 sq ft + wet rooms, private exam room, and private offices for the AT staff. We have also been able to grow our AT staff from one full time member, to three full time Certified Athletic Trainers (ATCs) at each MPS high school site. We have also been awarded the National Athletic Trainer's Association (NATA) Safe Sports School Award three times (2015-18, 2018-21, and 2021-24), a feet that no other multi-HS district in OK has accomplished.

My brilliant and beautiful bride, Dr. Shantell Trobaugh, is the head pharmacist for a local pharmacy, and our amazing 9 year old son, Connor, is a student at Oakridge Elementary.

When not spending 50+ hours each week at work, I spend my time as a movie aficionado and trolling morons on social media."
