Brandon Wilmarth Director of Educational Technology
Brandon has served as the District's Director of EdTech since 2017 and before that as a Technology Integration Specialist. Prior to transitioning to supporting the entire District, he taught in MPS for 10 years starting out as a 7th grade English teacher at West Junior High and ending his classroom tenure as Southmoore High School's AP Language & Composition instructor.
His love of all things technology lead him to incorporate tech as a tool to engage and allow learners in his classrooms to learn in new, meaningful ways. His tech savviness combined with his passion for teaching and learning prompted him to earn a Masters degree in the field of Instructional Psychology and Technology from the University of Oklahoma.
As Director of Educational Technology for Moore Public Schools, he's built a team of EdTech Specialists and Curriculum Technology Specialists that share his passion for teaching/learning and how technology tools can positively enhance the experience for students, teachers, and parents. His vision for MPS is simple: Prepare Students for What They Will Need to Know and Do NEXT. Whether they are a 6th grader that will transition into junior high or a senior about to graduate, his goals always come back to providing the tools and experiences that will allow MPS students to step into the next chapter of life with the confidence to succeed.
