Andrae McConnell EdTech Specialist
Andrae began his career in education as an English teacher at Southmoore High School in 2008. After spending 5 years in the classroom, he took a position in educational research at the University of Oklahoma’s K20 Center where he developed an interest in educational technologies as he earned a graduate degree in Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum.
When the opportunity arose to come back to Moore Public Schools as an Ed Tech Specialist, he couldn’t resist the chance to, at once, return to the district where he learned so much as a rookie teacher while also continuing to work in the field he had come to love.
Andrae happily spends his days using his knowledge of teaching, learning, and technology to assist teachers in identifying ways to seamlessly and authentically integrate technology into their curriculums. He also helps define and challenge the district’s approach to tech integration and looks forward to experimenting with new tools and strategies in search of evidence-based resources that will improve student achievement.
