Kim Ross EdTech Secretary

I began my career in Education at OCCC, in the bookstore, doing everything from unpacking, stocking, and selling the books, to purchasing supplies and all Bursar functions. I had so much fun there, helping the students with their first college experience and giving them a friendly, encouraging word and smile. I was there for 10 years, my schedule allowed for picking up my own 3 kids every day, and have the best of both worlds. All 3 of my children grew up in Moore Public Schools, 2 boys at Westmoore and daughter opened Southmoore as a Sophomore.

This is my 14th year at MPS, for the first 11 years I was the secretary to the Math and Science Coordinators, all 7 of them, and loved working with all of them, as well as the teachers, and students. As a team, we developed the District Science Fair into one of the best in the state, and then later on moved to the Science Olympics, both of which I am very proud to have had a part in. I am so grateful for the experiences I had in that department, I learned so many things…ever wonder who actually typed all those district science and math tests? Well, that was me, so I learned to be a great manipulator of graphics and text boxes, and editing, and now we no longer need that exact skill set, thank goodness!

The past 3 years have been as secretary to our Ed Tech Director, Brandon Wilmarth, and the team we have is really second to none! I have been learning lots of new things, as technology never stands still, and watching as they all work so hard to help teachers and students learn to use the tools in this rapid paced environment we live in. I am very proud to work here!

In my spare hours, I love to sing, go to church, and be Mom, wife, daughter, sister, friend, and especially Grammy. We have 3 beautiful granddaughters, and one little grandson, all the delights of my heart. We go to just about anything they participate in, mostly softball games. Have wagon, will travel!
